The total gun capacity of the safe is 28+4. Speaking about the external dimension, it is 55″ x 20″ x 17″, the external volume in 10.82 cubic feet. You also get 2 spare keys so that you get into the safe if you ever get locked out. The door can be organized for multiple storage scheme thanks to the elastic webbing in them. You can store extra handguns and ammunition in it.
The door storage system is multiple zipper pocket in this safe. There is also a power outlet that can enable you to install lighting bulbs and/or temperature or humidity control systems.

The warranty that is present in the Sports Afield is also pretty great. It has a true lifetime warranty that covers all aspect of your safe. This warranty scheme protects your safe from things like theft, fire and even flood. It covers areas like the locks, parts and even the paint. There is also free freight provided when you want to ship the safe for replacement.
This free freight, however, is present on the US only. If you are locked out of the safe, Sports Afield will give you a locksmith service as well. This is a really great deal overall.

If you don’t have many scopes and just want to keep your rifles in the safe then, you’ll be more than just fine. But keeping anything other than that would be pretty problematic for this safe. Also, While the quality of build, features and security might be really great, one thing that is lacking is the size.
The bulky size is pretty difficult to move and because of that reason, it could come with one or two shipping scratches. Putting it all together at your house will also take a while. On the flip side, you do get a really secure safe with a good warranty and an impressive quality.

Well, the “Preserve” branding is not just a branding it seems. The Sports Afield SA5520P is actually a really great safe available at a reasonable price point. It ticks all boxes of features that a safe should have. Obviously, there are some problems with it but they can be overlooked as the pros outweigh the cons by a big margin. Having said that, We can’t help but recommend this safe.
